View Full Version : Exciting new jobs for Dorking with revamp
I am happy for Dorking who will be getting a revamped museum and theatre. Well done!
The theatre actually won a make-over competition.
The great thing about these two new projects are that they will create employment during the revamp but will improve the business at the museum and theatre and create some nice income generators don’t you think?

I have never really been to Dorking before. Do you know if the museum is going to have a theme? EG a car museum? Maybe the history of Surrey teehee??
I would like to believe it would encourage more people to go out and put some money into our economy. By the sounds of it you could make a pretty good day out of it - if there are some nice restaurants in the area maybe go out for dinner. The really good thing about this is that local shops will also benefit from the move - more tourists more customers :D
As far as I can make out the old museum housed artifacts so I guess they will continue on this…hehe don’t know how interesting this could be but they will do arts and crafts exhibitions there as well.
They will be creating new allure to the Museum (http://www.thisissurreytoday.co.uk/news/Revamp-Dorking-museum/article-1274382-detail/article.html) with the modern glass-fronted building they plan to build.
But I will visit it to see so I’m sure it will definitely increase the feet to Dorking…
I find the theatre more exciting though, can’t wait to see the new project and the difference the make-over will give. They have apparently already bought a new roof prior to winning the make-over.
I love that they are restoring buildings like these, it does create numerous job (http://www.careers-jobs.eu) opportunities and make the immediate area look great.
I have never been to Dorking either! I even have friends that live there! Bad friend that I am!
This does sound quite interesting though - have yuo ever been out and about in Dorking Lilly? Whats it like?
Its good to see they are re-vamping old building rather than knocking them down and building crappy new ones heehee!
I wouldn't say I have been out and about there...but I travelled there once with a love interest ;) whose parents lived there. I thought it was very scenic and worth a trip out again seeing as it is dubbed as a "market town"...unfortunetaly we were stuck indoors most of the visit, and I was extremely nervous "meeting the parents" - I will have to go again i guess...
Haha so am I to thinkl you have movced on from this love interest now? LOL! I hate meeting the parents too - always get really nervous! Its like the worst fear in case they turn out to be mean or whatever you know?
It is horrible! When I get nervous I start talking complete nonsense, and don't even realise that I swear often. It is a really bad BAD thing. Luckily my current boyfriend's parents are extremly easy going and don't even hear swear words seeing as they have 4 sons. But when ever Ryan comes to my house...it is a different story, my dad is a bit tight and hates swear words...lol
Haha Im like you - swear words escape my mouth without me even realising haha!
I have tried a few times to cut it out but have not been that successful lol!
My dad always tell me off - its funny, although he doesnt think so lol! ;)
I am also trying to eliminate swearing from my day to day vocabulary, after a couple of friends pointed out my overuse of certain words. Like any habit, it can be difficult to break. In some circumstances @@**## difficult.

I know and its mean of these people to try and make us change don't you think :( I mean its harder than they think - I intend not to swear and then can easily do it 3 times ina row and not even realise what i just said! Ooooops! Hehe!
Cheers to swearing when it's needed! I love putting an "eee" behind swear words making them sound almost "sweet"...Doesn't work on my dad either though.
Dad's are mean like that hehe! Can get away with nothing - they know everything!
