View Full Version : Good old friends
long ago i lived in a little village in woldingham i had some very good friends when i lived there with all my sisters mum dad and brother. but then dad got his own farm and we moved away over the years i have been looking for two dear friends, one named julie witts, the other shilah cassidy, julie lived in the village just round the corner from me, shilah whos nickname was sludge and i wont go into it, live on camp hill coming up to the village. i lost contact from them i have tried all sorts of ways to find them as i am house bound after my strokes so can no get out and about. the only clue i have to go on is i belive julie married a g. knight in gloustershire. i now belive they have come back to surrey to live so by coming on the board i hope by chance some one my know her or shilah and can tell them i wish to contact them i do hope this works. thank you all for you help, by the way if i spell things wrong it is because i am more or less blind i do have a lot of other things wrong but also you can find out mor of me on stroke news or just put in citizan of the year in a place to be proud of in hampshire, sorrey basingstoke.
I also lived in Woldingham for a few years, in Southfields Road. A good friend of mine went out with Julie Witts and so I knew her quite well at the time. I went to a party at her family home in Woldingham - you may have been there. I am no longer in touch with them, but wish you good luck in your search
thanks for getting back to me blake,
we lived just round the corner from her i went out with her for about three years. we had many party's at our house. We raced pigions for there as well when i looked of earth to see our old place we lived in a five bed house has replaced it. we would go to the little village hall to a youth club, plus we would take the footpath over to the main village and drink in the club over there then the gang would meet up and it was party time at one or others house every weekend they were great times, i have lost contact from them all now, the only thing i have said is she got married and moved to the west but i was told she and her husband could be in surry now his name was knight so if you do find out more please let me know thanks for getting in touch.
Well just a bit more about my family, my sister carol had a blue mini in winter when it did get bad with the snow she was the only one that could get up to garden village she would reverse up the hill picking up the odd one or two people on the way up. when we first lived there we had no road around the village dad got them all together and each month collected the road funds untill they had the money to do it, syd bromley lived over the road on hill top walk. i lived in beulah walk. i can remember my sister and i one night were drinking in the double dimond club in london back when the krays were around and as we were about to go home her car was not out side, she told reg, he said ring your dad every thing will be ok. i an hour her car was back out side not only that it was full of petrol. so bad yes but also good in them to people.
