I still can't quite grasp the idea of young and old soldiers fighting for there country?? What happened to fighting your own battles??

Can our great leaders not resolve anything without fighting??

So many lives are lost everyday, due to crime alone, why send men to fight for there "country"... for what I might ask??

Take young Jamie Janes for instance... he had the courage to go and fight for his country... yet now he is just another white cross on those hollow cemeteries?? You would atleast expect the PM to spell his surname correctly.

They don't go out and fight with a half-hearted attempt, they go out knowing that it could cost them there live.

This however could be a innocent mistake, yet one that will cost the PM dearly, as this seems to be a rush job...

I think if the leaders of our country find reason for war... ship them off to an island where they can fight for it. As now they are safely in there offices sipping tea, whiles many courageous men, fight for something they might never even see...

Im not sure how I feel about this as there are two sides of the story with everything that is done!

It is not really Gordon Browns fault that there is a war on going in Iraq or Afghanistan - we can blame that on Tony Blasir for having his head so far up George Bush's arse that he blindly followed him in whatever action!

It seems like we are fighting a losing battle - but unfortunately in both places now that it hads started i do believe that pulling out would lead to far worse consequences for those countries civilians and the world in general!

Its horrible and hard to know which would be the better option!

As for the letter he wrote, I did hear all sorts the other day on TV about him being blind in one eye? Surely that would contribute to it all? A slight spelling mistake I would put down to human error? I don't know really!

I see your point, it does make sense. We are always fighting the fights that weren't always meant for us.

However, I do have sympathy for human mistakes, as we all do make them time and time again, but someone like Gordon Brown, being in the position that he is in, he should surely have staff that do check these types of letters that go out, and this was not the first time he misspelled his surname.

There is only one better option; and that is not to have a war like this, but obviously they can't resolve this without fighting as wars similar to this dates back to ancient history.
