My heart was honestly touched by Charlie Simpson's way of showing the world that he cares. I don't know if you all have read the article (http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/top-stories/2010/01/25/charlie-simpson-7-raises-160k-for-haiti-appeal-in-one-day-115875-21992609/), it is really amazing to see that such a young child can still see the world for the beauty it truly is, and at his age he is actually making an effort to at least try and help the victims of the Haiti earthquake.
It is going to be such a time consuming process to rebuild the towns that got affected by the quake. It must be so scary being left with nothing... and here we are, just happy to at least still have a job (http://www.careersandjobsuk.com/) after the recession...Kinda makes me feel bad.
I feel sorry for them as well, I can't for the life of me imagine how it must feel. Loosing familly and friends is the worst and then to top it all not having anywhere familiar to go to cope with the tragedy. I hope our government and other's continue to step in and help these people and don't forget about them...and obviously those of us who are able to contribute money to their cause should continue to do so!
Ladies you are so right! That little boy did such a big thing for his age - it is amazing and an example to others all around him including adults!
It is horrendous when things like this happen all over the world, it makes you wonder why it takes such things to bring the world together!
Have you guys also heard how Hugo Chavez thinks the US did this on purpose?

I don't even know what to say to that! They said the same about 9/11 that it was staged to get a reason to start a war in the middle east. I'm sure there are some massive secrets powerful governments hide, but I can not think killling 200,000 innocent people could be part of any gov secret weapon strategy...it is disgusting. How can people control the weather anyways...it is too bizare!

Its not about weather control but the tectonic plates that cause earthquakes or something? Anyway who really knows hey?
That is ridiculous... I couldn't help but laugh!!! I am all for innocent until proven guilty... also why would America spend so much money on Haiti after causing the disaster???? I know that technology is rapidly changing.. but building a machine that would create such a disasters earth quake... it's going to take more than an accusation to get me to believe that!!!
I also saw the documentaries claiming that the 9/11 was a set up by the US, but I can't see why they would kill so many innocent people...especially there own people.. really doesn't make sense.
I wonder if during World War II people across the world heard rumours about strange goings-on at the German concentration camps...guess people would never have believed then, what actually was going on because it too sounded too bizarre...and yet it was true. Someone was actually experimenting on real people to create a super race and killing them. I watched a movie about this the other day and I cried myself silly. Some people are truly evil!
What movie is that.. sound interesting. Still I think that the technology we would need to create something like that will have to be magnificent, as I think (correct me if I am wrong) creating a earthquake that can destroy an island, without dropping any bombs or anything as such, had to take years of preparation under the sea, as it is the plates that shifts, that causes these huge tidal waves and earthquakes... just think about it, it's a scary thought. Don't you think that it would have leaked out some way or another, if indeed this was planned?? Just like 9/11 and many other cases, stories like these just tend to burst as it makes good publicity!
People are always after gossip and the worst possible case...as if it the situation isn't awfull enough!
It is possible that stuff could leak out... I once heard this rumour from a friend of a friend whose grandmother told her that before her grandfather died (he was in some sort of secret service) that the US goverment has locked up a mermaid and he couldn't stand her crying all the time...
I know it is far fetched but it gave me goose bumps!
I can't remember the movie's name but it was about a German captain who lived next to one of the concentration camps. And his son wondered to the far end of their property and met one of the boys from the concentration camp. The Jewish boy told the german kid that he was looking for his father and that he isn't allowed out of the camp. Long story short, these two kids became friends and one day the german boy said he would help the other one find his dad so he dug a hole underneath the fence and put on clothes the jewish boy brought him.
Anyway I'm probably ruining the story to tell you about what happens but it you can just imagine what happened to the german captain's son. He died along with the others... oh I'm sad all over again.
I think on a very serious level who knows what to really believe these days! Especially anything that happened during the reign of George Bush - Im sorry but I do beleive he would have done ANYTHING to get his war in Iraq and Afghanistan going! Plus in reality as you have said we find out so much truth later on don't we!
Anything is possible and at the same time it all sounds ridiculous! But who really knows????

It's not that I don't want to believe in Mermaids... I am all for fantasy stories, but still I think seeing is believing. It would be sad if they did hold an amazing creature like that captive, just imagine what we could learn from this. Also the ocean is a mysterious place, a world of it's own there are millions of species of mammals that have not been discovered, so you never know, this might be true.
War to me is a waste of time, life and money. If we are all civil human beings, why is it that people can't talk things over in an orderly manner. Even if they just agree to disagree.
