Despite Aldershot having connections with previous Olympic games, and its proximity to London, it seems an odd choice to house Team GB while they train. Aldershot generally doesn't seem to have the best reputation although that's most likely because good news isn't reported.
It's already where the synchronised swimming team trains and has other facilities that could be used for training as well as the added security of being in an army base.
What does everyone think about Aldershot's army base being the choice for this? Is it the right choice, would any of the other options (such as the University of Bath) have been better do you think?
