Charity Walk to Ash

2nd May 2009 9:00am
Wetherspoons pub, Rodboro Buildings
--------------------------------
Supporters of Guildford City FC are to walk in fancy dress from Guildford town centre to the final match of the season away at Ash United, in aid of â??Sport 4 Lifeâ??.
--------------------------------
The sponsored walk aims to raise money to help the charity that uses sport to relieve poverty, build community and improve health within disadvantaged areas.

The walk will take them from Guildford, across the north downs and eventually to the home ground of Ash United FC in Shawfield Road, collecting money in buckets en route.

It is also possible to donate to the cause online using the quick, easy and secure link at justgiving.com/gcfc. The money raised via the Internet goes directly to the charity, and can benefit from gift aid donations.

Anyone donating in person will also have the option of donating to the club as well, although the primary aim of the walk is to raise as much money for charity as possible.

Anyone wishing to join the walk is free to do so; the party will begin at 9:00am in the Wetherspoons pub in the Rodboro buildings. The route has several stops for drinks and lunch, and the fancy dress (theme: red!) is optional.

The culmination of the journey is a football match between Ash United and Guildford City, and once again this is not compulsory. Anyone wishing to simply join in with the walk is more than welcome!
--------------------------------
So, to the people of Guildford, please come and join us to enjoy the sun, the community spirit and see why we are so proud to live in this town.

And if you canâ??t make it, please donate as much as you can through the website to support Sport 4 Life and help rebuild lives across the world.
--------------------------------

For more information please get in touch!

Please encourage as many donations to the Justgiving website as you possibly can! Thanks!

Or maybe we'll see you on the day!
